Grief and Loss Support Service
The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Grief and Loss Support Service is for anyone suffering any form of grief and loss, or those worried about losing someone, whether this relates to a family member, friend or member of their community.

West Yorkshire & Harrogate Suicide Bereavement Service provides practical and emotional support to people who have been affected by a suicide bereavement.
Gambling
NHS Northern Gambling Service
The NHS Northern Gambling Service provides specialist addiction therapy and recovery to people affected by gambling addiction, as well as those with mental health problems. They also provide help to people close to those with gambling addiction. They have clinics in Leeds, Sunderland and Manchester.
Men's Health
Andy’s Man Club
Andy’s Man Club offers real, non-judgmental, talking groups for men aged 18+. The charity is based nationally across the UK. They meet every Monday at 7pm (except bank holidays).
Giving Advice and Support to People in Emotional Distress (GASPED)
GASPED provides help around mental health issues including addictive behaviours, suicide and domestic abuse against men.

Any 11-25 year old in the Wakefield area can sign themselves up anonymously for free, safe, same-day, BACP accredited support on Kooth.com. The online community offers free counselling and drop-in chats via our live chat system, advice articles, discussion boards and activities all designed to improve emotional and mental health. You won’t need a referral, and there aren’t any thresholds or waiting lists, just head to the Kooth homepage to create your account.

The Wakefield Safe Space is open to anyone in crisis. It is a partnership between Touchstone, Spectrum People and Gasped.

PARENTS Online
PARENTS Online offers text-based emotional support to parents/carers who may have experienced separation from children or a relationship breakdown, which is a key factor in suicide. The service can be used anonymously and is staffed by trained peer support workers with their own lived experience of parenting. Available Monday-Friday 6pm-9pm.
Self Harm
Battle Scars
Battle Scars provides a Peer support group for anybody affected by self-harm: those who self-harm and those supporting them.
Harmless
Harmless is a user-led organisation that provides a range of services about self-harm and suicide prevention including support, information, training and consultancy to people who self-harm and those at risk of suicide. They also offer support and training to service users’ friends, families and professionals who are involved in their care.

Combat Stress
Combat Stress is a charity for veterans’ mental health. They help former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.

Veterans Mental Health Complex Treatment Service provides an enhanced service for military veterans who have service attributable, complex mental health problems many of whom will have experienced trauma, which has not been resolved earlier in the care/support pathway.

Wakefield Awareness Support Project (WASP)
WASP is a collaboration between KIDS and Barnardo’s. The service supports children and young people’s emotional wellbeing, particularly where a young person experiences anxiety and low mood as a result of an Autism Spectrum Condition or were not diagnosed but has identified social, communication and interaction difficulties or other neuro-developmental disorders.
